How about micro dosing accutane? So that you’re on that for less than 2 years vs spiro indefinitely? Spiro messed up my cycles a few years ago. I really don’t want to do it again but my hormonal acne is back at 40 like never before on my jaw and chin 😭
I may need to see a dermatologist. I’m 45 and have been struggling with hormonal acne since my 30s.
I’m a 34 year old woman with acne that flares around my period. My new primary care doctor (male) asked me “how do you know your acne is hormonal?” like I was a complete idiot. I had no words.
I know this is an old video, but these comments make me feel seen! I’m 24 and had been on Yaz for years for various reasons, including acne. I had HORRIBLE cystic acne as a young teenager and got on accutane, which worked so well for like 6 years. This past July, I got off of Yaz because I got sterilized and didn’t want to be on hormones anymore. Many months later, my acne is right back to where it was when I was 14 😅 I think it’s time for a second round of accutane, which sucks but I know it will be worth it.
I can’t take birth control because I have migraine w aura and I can’t take spiro because I did and even at the lowest does had crazy side effects
