  1. Antibiotics usage show that dermatologists are old schools and don’t have any idea how to treat women with PCOS, implement a low insulin diet to complement myoinositol supplements

  2. I have PCOS with hirsuitism.

To be honest, I think Lala is using too much on her skin.

I would recommend not washing her face in the morning (just water rinse and then sunscreen), and not applying anything after washing her face at night, at least for a few days in a row. Every few days, follow up with a very light water-based serum, and that’s it. This is especially important in the beginning phase when you’re doing a full skin reset, and healing the skin is your main priority. Also, kicking ALL fragrance to the curb literally SAVED my skin. I never, ever use products with fragrance/essential oils on my face/body ever ever ever.

After a few months, your skin will heal and get stronger. Then you can finally start a routine to enhance and beautify.

Personally, my skin changes with each season, so there are times where (at night) I’ll wash my face, apply a serum and then maybe finish with a light oil (like tamanu oil, vitamin F, jojoba, something super light).

I never apply a true moisturizer to my face. Maybe during the winter at night, if my skin is very, very dry— and when I do, it’s only to the spots that are dry.

If I’m wearing makeup, I do a double cleanse— first with a cleansing balm or micellar water, then with my face wash. I put serum on after, and that’s it.

In the morning, I do not wash my face. I rinse with water, apply my serum, and then top it with sunscreen. Voila.

I also drink spearmint tea, and that has seriously helped reduce the rate of facial hair growth, breakouts, and excess sebum.

Here are the products I’m using now:

(Makeup Remover) Bioderma Sensitive Skin Micellar Water.
(Face & Body Cleanser) CeraVe SA Cleanser.
    (Weekly Exfoliant) Tatcha Rice Polish.
(Serum) Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Hyaluronic Serum.
(Finishing Oil) The Ordinary Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F.
(Sunscreen) CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30.

    Good luck Lala!!

  3. For my pcos, dry and acne prone skin , the things that have helped me most :
    – cutting out phthalates
    – spearmint tea twice a day
    -regular vitamin regimen
-red light therapy at home after cleansing (before serums)
    -working out
    -minimizing gluten and dairy
    -increasing protein intake
    – and like said in this video “listening” to my skin. Changing my skincare based on whats going on. Winter is easy for me to damage my skin barrier so i keep the routine minimal and work in an active when my skin can take it.

Remember sleep and hydration, along with changing pillow case are supperrr simple tips but can help so much.

    Sending love and luck ❤
