The most effective acne treatment depends on the type and severity. For my skin of color patients, and those who scar easily, I’m also more aggressive with treatment knowing they are prone to these harder to treat post acne marks!
If your acne is mild, certainly trying drugstore benzoyl peroxide, adapalene, and salicylic acid products is a good start. But after a few months of acne is not improving, please follow up with a dermatologist!
